Zaiga is an independent consultant and a pioneer in sustainability within the financial sector in Denmark and internationally. As Senior Consultant she assists Arkadiko’s clients in developing strategies to support long-term sustainable business and investment practices.

Zaiga has 15 years of experience in consulting – split between law and sustainable business strategy, and over 15 years in the financial sector, focusing on sustainability. As attorney-at-law Zaiga advised Danish companies on their establishment in Eastern Europe and on the legal aspects of real estate transactions. Her time in pensions and investment management has been dedicated to the development of sustainable business and investment strategies and their practical implementation, including in senior roles at MP Investment Management and Industriens Pension in Copenhagen.

Zaiga has held board positions in leading organisations promoting sustainability for the financial sector, covering both policy setting and practical implementation, including UN PRI, Dansif and Hermes EOS. She is currently a board member at three investment funds, connected to Lån&Spar Bank in Denmark.

Her background is international and multicultural, having lived in Denmark, Latvia, Russia, United Kingdom, and Greenland. She also has a strong understanding of different cultures, geographies and sectors through direct engagement and dialogue with the boards and executive management of leading multinational companies, including site visits to their operations in banking, car manufacture, palm oil plantations and mining.

She holds a Master’s Degree in Law from the University of Copenhagen and has completed Conflict Management in Organisations and Coaching course at Copenhagen Business Academy and Leadership Education at MANNAZ in Denmark. She is passionate about promoting strong, trusting relationships and loves learning new things about herself and the world, including through travelling and the power of nature.
